The National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention, and the Food and Drug Administration are offering
funding through the Small Business Innovation Research program
for support of research and development of new technologies and
methodologies that have the potential to succeed as commercial
products. This program is open to small business concerns as
well as to scientists at research institutions, including
colleges and universities. Eligibility requirements,
definitions, application procedures, review considerations,
application forms and instructions, and other information are
contained in the Omnibus Solicitation of the Public Health
Service for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant and
Cooperative Agreement Applications available from MTL, Inc.,
