Workshops: NHANES 1999-2000 Data Release
This "hands-on" workshop is intended for individuals who have a working knowledge of SAS, and are interested in analyzing findings from the latest continuous National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) program. The workshop will focus on the use of web-based NHANES data products and analytic guidelines for NHANES 1999-2000. NHANES staff will provide instructions to download NHANES data, documentation, codebooks, SAS input statements, and analytic guidelines. The workshop will emphasize analysis of the NHANES 1999-2000 dietary data. Useful tips to review the data, merge the dietary data with other survey files, and apply statistical weights as part of data analyses will be discussed. Examples of recent analyses using these data will be provided, and attendees will have a chance to perform some of their own data analyses!
