Map of the Arlington Experimental Farm which was the main USDA research facility in the Washington area from 1900 until 1941, when activities were transferred to the Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville, Md., and the property was ceded back to the War Deparmment. Part of this land is now the site of the Pentagon.
