Henry A. Wallace, Secretary of Agriculture (in back on the right, facing the crowd), makes a
speech in observance of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Agriculture
and the state land-grant college system. The event was held at Mount
Vernon, Virginia, on November 17, 1937. This photograph is from a scrapbook of pictures
and newspaper clippings chronicling the celebration. Photo no. S-2664
