Navigating the CD-ROM

Chapters
The CD-ROM is organized into eleven chronologically-based chapters and three topically-based chapters. These chapters are listed on the home page of the CD-ROM which is available through Home from any location, and through the Table of Contents, discussed below.

Table of Contents
You can get to the Table of Contents, which contains a list of all the historical documents contained on the CD-ROM, from almost anywhere. As the list is so long, it may take a few seconds to load.

Moving from document to document
When viewing a document, you will see two or four arrows at the bottom of each page. The left-most double arrow () will take you to the document previous to the one you are viewing, while the right-most double arrow () will take you to the document following the current one.

There are two single arrows that only appear if the document you are viewing has multiple pages. The arrow pointing to the right () will take you to the next page of the current document, while the one pointing to the left () will take you to the previous page.

Searching for documents
You can search for a document from almost any location. Searching is covered extensively in Search help.
