  dot Provide breastfeeding education and Loving Support materials to
    Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) and nurses in the birthing hospitals
  dot Strengthen the WIC breastfeeding infrastructure by reviewing
    policies and assuring a breastfeeding friendly environment in WIC
    clinics

bullet Client/Family:
  dot Develop breastfeeding brochure targeting prenatal and breastfeeding
    teens
  dot Develop culturally relevant brochures and other teaching materials for
    distribution
  dot Incorporate Loving Support branding into all breastfeeding     materials
  dot Distribute "Breastfeeding: Another Way of Saying 'I Love You'" to
    WIC Clinics and community partners

bullet Public Awareness:
  dot Provide breastfeeding information at public forums such as cultural
    events and other state-wide events
  dot Develop and launch HEALTH BF website
  dot Brand all materials with the Loving Support logo
  dot Sponsored the purchase and distribution of 550 copies of the
    children's book "We Like to Nurse" in English and Spanish in
    collaboration with Reach Out and Read Rhode Island (ROR/RI)

  dot Sponsor round-table discussions, lunch and learn opportunities
  dot Integrate breastfeeding materials into HEALTH prenatal packets
  dot Develop and MD Recognition program for physicians that encourage
    and support breastfeeding with their patients
  dot Provide opportunities for pharmacists to receive breastfeeding
    information. Partner with CVS Stores to provide "Medication and
    Mother's Milk"
  dot Present Thomas Hale's Grand Rounds video at the University of Rhode
    Island
  dot Distribute pocket resource guide to health care providers at birthing
    hospitals
  dot Provide networking opportunities for lactation consultants
  dot Develop a referral mechanism with VNA

bullet Community:
  dot Develop a community-based intervention for employer outreach to
    support breastfeeding mothers in the workplace
  dot Develop a partnership with health insurers to encourage enhancement
    benefits for breastfeeding services
  dot Provide breastfeeding education and awareness to childcare providers
    throughout the State
  dot Collaborate with Providence Family Van to distribute breastfeeding
    information and services in multi-cultural communities within the area
