Nutrition Risk Training Module
This training module was developed by Oregon to train local agency WIC staff. Includes a supervisor's guide.

The Nutrition Services Initiative Workgroup
Experts in nutrition education were brought in to help improve the effectiveness of nutrition education in the Southwest Region. A Nutrition Education Ideas Resource Manual was developed for use in WIC nutrition education activities as a result of the workgroup.

Orientation Lesson Plans
These lesson plans were developed by California to assist staff in orienting participants to WIC. Lesson plans, as well as accompanying handouts, can be downloaded and tailored to meet the needs of participants.

Participant Satisfaction Survey Final Report [PDF]
This report from Utah details the results of their bi-annual participant satisfaction survey. The goal of the survey is to determine the extent of satisfaction among WIC participants receiving WIC services as well as their understanding of those services.

Reinvesting in Staff
This project focused on staff development and training. WIC staff received: the Franklin Covey self development course; training on a client-oriented, behavioral approach to nutrition education using the stages of change model; and intensive, one-on-one guidance for nutrition staff (via mentors) to help develop facilitator and counseling skills.

Revitalizing Quality Nutrition Services in WIC - 2004 [PDF]
The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) asked the seven regional offices to nominate noteworthy projects/initiatives from their respective regions for presentation at the National WIC Association Biennial Nutrition and Breastfeeding Conference. Previous editions are also available for 2001 and 2002.
