This 22-page book was developed by Florida for preschoolers and first graders. It emphasizes the importance of choosing 1% lowfat or fat-free milk. The book can be downloaded in PDF form in English/Spanish or English/Haitian-Creole, and a lesson plan is also available.

Food Package Education Campaign Research
In order to develop a unified nutrition education campaign that targets WIC participants, staff, vendors and partners (i.e. physicians, food banks, extension agents)   Texas WIC conducted qualitative research with WIC participants, WIC staff, WIC vendors and WIC partners and a quantitative phone poll with 600+ WIC participants.  The purpose of the research was to understand current participant perceptions of WIC food package and gauge potential perceptions of the coming changes as well as identify potential problem areas and communication concerns.

Healthy Eating: A Gift for Your Family
and Breastfeeding: A Gift for Your Baby provide mothers with limited literacy and resources access to the essentials of breastfeeding and nutrition. This multi-media, bi-lingual site communicates through culturally-sensitve videos, animation, photographs, diagrams and audio. This site was created by the Fund for the City of New York in partnership with the Morrisania Neighborhood Family Heath Center-WIC program in the Bronx, NY.

The California WIC Program has developed a series of activities designed to prepare for the upcoming food package changes. The campaign includes training on staff wellness, healthy lifestyle changes, the new food package, medical referrals and participant education on these topics as well as using the new WIC food checks.
