The Agroecology Summer Intensive is an undergraduate 10-week residential curriculum in academic and experiential learning at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College. It comprises four courses (14 credits) in Sustainable Agriculture: soils, vegetable crops, agroecology and small farm management/produce marketing that count towards the school's Agroecology Minor. A Certificate Program is available for persons not seeking academic credit. Internships are available at the Merry Lea Sustainable Farm.

The Integrated Agriculture and Food Systems program combines education in the fundamentals of crop, soil, and livestock management with instruction in business management. It focuses on "the integration of crop and livestock production principles to create sustainable farming and food systems." The program includes laboratory courses, field trips, and internships on the FVCC campus farm and in the community."
"The Profitable Small Farms program combines hands-on learning and classroom teaching to develop the skills to start a small farm. The program has a dual focus on the technical skills to produce food sustainably with minimal negative environmental impacts and the entrepreneurial skills to develop and manage a community-based agricultural business. Throughout the program students practice growing food crops and manage small animals on the LBCC student organic farm. Farm-direct marketing is experienced by managing the college CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program, and selling to the campus restaurants and students and staff at the college farmers' market."
The College's Practice of Organic Agriculture spans 3 quarters and has both an academic "emphasis" and an on-farm component at the Evergreen State College Organic Farm. The course addresses practices in organic farming; running a farm business; and marketing food. One quarter explores "organic food production systems using the three pillars of sustainability - economic, environmental, and social justice." The Evergreen College also has a permaculture site, demonstration site, compost facility, and a biodiesel generation project. Evergreen College does not offer Majors or Minors; students have the options of focusing studies in a particular area and designating that as their area of emphasis.
This certificate focuses on "the principles of agribusiness management, sustainable agriculture and direct farm marketing" and is designed to teach students the skills in small sustainable farm business management needed to "enter the workforce as a small farm owner or manager."
This program offers hands-on learning at an urban farm and training in business management. "Coursework includes soil and plant science, detailed production of specialty crops, and an introduction to raising small animals."
