The College of the Redwoods Sustainable Agriculture Farm, a 38-acre student-operated sustainable organic farm, offers farm enterprise courses and includes a CSA program.

The E.V. Smith Research Center Horticulture Unit is a certified organic vegetable production area where research emphasis areas include certified organic vegetable production and sustainable agriculture. The Unit is one of three organic agriculture research units in the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station system that has certified organic research plots and focuses on applied research to support small-scale organic farmers.

Dilmun Hill is a student-run organic research farm that has been practicing sustainable agriculture on Cornell University's campus for more than two decades. The farm offers students, faculty, staff and community opportunities for experiential learning, group collaboration and research. Students operate campus farm stands and supply produce to the campus dining services.

The Snyder Research and Extension Farm is the Rutgers University Center for Sustainable Agriculture. The Snyder Farm offers land [including certified organic], research and other services to Rutgers faculty studying sustainable agricultural production techniques.

Sustainable practices are taught at the 85-acre Butte College Farm of which 17 acres is certified organic. Organic Farming Workshops are held February through June. Offers Agricultural Science course (AGS 104B) on organic farming techniques including organic methods of disease and pest control.

The College's 50-acre, USDA-certified organic farm is available to students and faculty for research projects, labs and onsite courses. Crops are earmarked for the campus Dining Hall and the farm's Campus Supported Agriculture program. The Bowdoin Organic Garden supplies vegetables and fruits to the College's Dining Service, and it provides research opportunities for faculty and agricultural experiences for the college community.
