Organic agriculture is one of the research emphasis areas at the Plant Science Research Center. Located on the Alabama University Campus, the Center is one of three research units in the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station system that have certified organic research plots and that focus on applied research to support small-scale organic farmers.
