Investigators
Campbell, Bruce
Institutions
University of California - Parlier
Start date
1998
End date
2003
Objective
Reduce A. flavus colonization in pistachio orchards based on 1) irrigation timing and time of harvest on early split pistachios, and 2) effects of sun and insect-feeding damage, especially naval orangeworm.
More information
Determine development of A. flavusin pistachios as related to irrigation timing and amount. Improve methods for detecting and removing contaminated post-harvest pistachios.
