ObjectivesAssess the coordination and institutional management of Secure Food Supply enhanced biosecurity plans between State Animal Health Officials (SAHOs), industry organizations (e.g., National Pork Board (NPB), National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA), National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), US Poultry and Egg Association, American Sheep Industry Association), and food animal producersEvaluate SAHO perceptions for using existing Secure Food Supply enhanced biosecurity plans when making risk-based decisions for permitted animal movements during a high-consequence disease outbreakIdentify potential gaps in planning, implementation, and auditing of producer-developed enhanced biosecurity plans in the USPropose solutions to address identified gaps in the US plan following consultation with SAHOs and international biosecurity experts
