Objective
1)Assess the effects of combinations of gamma irradiation and biocontrol treatment on the survival and inactivation of pathogenic bacteria on produce, 2) evaluate ATP (biolumesnescence) assay to quantify cell injury and death; and 3) determine the efficacy of antimicrobial biosurfactants /and GRAS compounds to inactivate foodborne pathogens on produce.
