- Objective
- The primary goal of the conference for which funding is being requested will promote the marketing of safe, fresh and accurately labeled shell eggs and egg products through the development of uniform, science based and coordinated state and federal regulations.
The conference is designed to achieve this goal by providing educational segments related to current egg safety and quality issues and the opportunity for state, federal and industry representatives to interact and share information and ideas.
The conference will also provide a forum to present specific issues which will be referred to the NERO committees comprised of specialists in that area. The committee will review the information and provide specific recommendations for the most effective and cost efficient method to achieve the desired results.
The conference will address new rules for S. enteritidis, label requirements for egg, scientific information related to campylobacter in eggs as well as other presentations related to food safety. The conference will be held at the Florida Mall Hotel in Orlando, Florida from March 13 - 16, 2005.
