Demonstrate that our previous phage-based reporter scheme can be optimized to enable visualization of the spatial location of E. coli in 3D matrices like a agar gels and in a model cheese.Transfer the genetic components of the reporter system to a L. monocytogenes specific phage.Demonstrate the ability of this L. monocytogenes-specific phage reporter to enable visualization of the spatial location of L. monocytogenes in 3D matrices like a agar gels and in a model cheese.
