Objective
The objective for this project is to design, fabricate and test a microfluidic device to isolate and capture listeria-responsive protozoa. Use of protozoa that prey upon bacteria as a means to reduce the incidence of food-borne pathogens in food-processing plant has been recently explored at USDA-ARS. Georgia Tech Applied Research Cooporation and the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) desire to enter into this Agreement for the purpose of supporting research to be carried out at ARS and Cooperator facilities. ARS desires the Cooperator to provide research of mutual interest within the U.S. National Poultry Research Center.
