- This research project aims to find up-to-date information on the analytical techniques used to investigate and ensure the food safety of GM foods and products by the biotechnology and novel foods industry.
The project is gathering the information using a questionnaire that has been sent to up to 50 representatives of biotechnology and novel foods industries.

- There have been rapid changes occurring in the methods of food production in relation to whole food and food components produced using GM technology.
This project is therefore aimed at providing the Agency with up-to-date information on the techniques in use and being developed to investigate and ensure the food safety of GM foods and products.
