This strain was collected from a Penaeus vannamei pond in the Philippines in 2015. Genome analysis revealed that it lacks the gene pirAB responsible for causing acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease but encode multiple secretion systems and the associated effectors.

Plasmids approximately 250 kbp long, encoding blaCTX-M-55 and mcr-1.1, were detected in both strains.

Whole-genome alignments indicated that both strains belong to Salmonella enterica.

  25. Complete Genome Sequences of a Stress-Resistant Outbreak-Associated Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli O157:H7 Strain and a Variant with Enhanced Congo Red-Binding Capability

    • Microbiology Resource Announcements, Ahead of Print. The genome sequences of Escherichia coli O157:H7 strain 380-94, which was isolated from a 1994 dry-cured salami outbreak, and a stronger Congo red-binding variant, RV06, were determined using long-read sequencing technology and de novo assembly. Both strains possessed one chromosome and one plasmid. Strain RV06 possessed a 4,769-bp deletion in the rcs region.
