7th Annual 3Rs Symposium: Practical Solutions and Success Stories
The following are a selection of presentations from a symposium that was co-hosted by the USDA Animal Welfare Information Center (AWIC), NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), the Johns Hopkins Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology, and the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT), held online on June 4-5, 2020. The goal of this year’s symposium was to bring together experts in replacement, reduction, and refinement of animal experimentation to exchange information with scientists, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members, veterinarians, and animal care technicians about practical solutions and recent success stories to reduce the use of animals in research and improve their welfare.
These presentations are being hosted by Animal Welfare Information Center, a service of The National Agricultural Library. Staff do not edit or otherwise modify the original materials. The views expressed in the presentations do not necessarily reflect the policies of the National Agricultural Library or the United States Department of Agriculture.
