What do I need to create metadata?

An XML Editor is used to create records.

If you have already have access to an XML editor please use it to create records.

If not, there are a variety of open-source XML editors. Two noted below are:

A) Komodo Edit

Create records
Resolve any errors identified at the bottom of the screen.

B) Microsoft XML Notepad 2007

XML Notepad is not designed for creating (keying) new records unless you’re using a sample record and editing it. If you are creating a new record without using a template, use NotePad and transfer it to XML Notepad for review.

Resolve any errors identified on the “error list” in XML Notepad.
