Biomarkers for Virulence of Listeria by Mass Spectrometry

Objective

The original concept with Listeria sp. will be consolidated with the other bacterial studies that will be conducted in collaboration with spectroscopists located at CFSAN and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. (re:X10009).

More information

FY 2000 Accomplishments: Strain-specific fingerprints were detected for several species of Vibrio bacteria, including V.p. and V.v., but at that time the spectral patterns specific for the most toxic strains of V.v. from seafoods were not elucidated adequately for any regulatory use of the existing data.
