Develop and Assess Machine Systems Technology for Applicaiton to NC Commodities

1. Adapt and develop ground based and aerial sensors and data acquisition technologies;2. Adapt, develop, and assess methodology and equipment for variable-rate control of inputs to agricultural productionsystems;3. Investigate appropriate unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications in data collection and crop protection product application;4. Develop methodologies and analytical tools for optimum utilization of inputs in agricultural production systems;5. Evaluate applications of technology to alternative crop and farm enterprises.
