Objective
Several test packaging materials will be irradiated at high doses ranging from 70-100kgys in the absence of oxygen. Volatile radiolytic products formed in the test materials will be analyzed byGC/MS. Nonvolatile radiolytic products will be extracted with food simulating solvents, weighed, and analyzed by GC and / or HPLC with appropriate detectors.
