Functional Characterisation of the Secreted Effector Proteins from Salmonella

Objective

The overall aim of this PhD project is to expand knowledge of selected secreted effector proteins from Salmonella by assessing their effects on host cells. This will be achieved by monitoring host cell responses elicited by intracellular expression of the type III secreted Salmonella effector proteins.
