Health Disparities And Enteric Diseases: Empowering The Next Generation Of Caregivers To Prevent Foodborne Illnesses

Objective

The objectives of thisproject are:1.Assess food safety knowledge and behaviors of young adults by administering a survey that is tailored to students enrolled at Land Grant Institutions across the U.S. The survey will identify knowledge gaps and risky food-handling behaviors in this population.2.Develop and disseminate engaging, relevant food safety education messages for young adults in collaboration with a marketing firm with expertise in marketing to young adults, based on the results found in Objective 1. The education campaign will be disseminated through digital platforms, social media, and university networks to ensure broad engagement.
