High Through-Put Detection of Fungal Pathogens

Objective

Develop technologies for rapid identification of agriculturally and clinically important yeasts and molds important to industry and agriculture, through use of novel oligonucleotide probe technology.

More information

ARS will provide a database of species-specific gene sequences for all known ascomycetous yeasts, and reference euascyomycetes and "archiascomycetes". NCAUR postdoctral scientist and the Cooperator will use these sequences to develop an oligonucleotide probe for rapid species identification.
