The specific objectives of the project are:• To determine whether the proposed treatment results in clinical, bacterial and/or tissular cure of S. aureus mastitis in a mouse model.• To determine whether the pathological lesions in treated animals are significantly more or less severe when compared to untreated and uninfected animals.• To produce data to support and justify further testing of the proposed treatment in dairy or lactating animals such as cows, goats, and sheep.
