Objective
This project involves the isolation and characterisation of lactic acid bacterial inhabitants from the gastro-intestinal tracts of food animals, with a focus on poultry. The colonisation potential of isolates will be established and their development as a means to control and eradicate key food-borne human pathogens investigated.
