Our aim is to address future AV pandemics in the food industry by increasing the capacity of the Food and Nutritional Sciences program (FNSP) at NCA&T to conduct research and educational activities in the area of Airborne Viral Threats (AVT) control measures. To accomplish this, we will:1) Establish an AVT laboratory model capable of simulating AVT in food industry settings.2) Enhance the FNSP curriculum to incorporate content about AVT.3) Translate research findings into best-practice recommendations and disseminate recommendations to stakeholder groups.
