FY 96: Michigan State University's Extension plan of work will: 1) increase the use of existing food safety education materials and resources through adaptation, revision,and enhancements; 2) better support local Extension agents' food safety education efforts through revising and adding to reference materials and handouts that address identified priority areas; and 3) expand HACCP efforts through in- service and food industry training.
FY 95: This project will improve evaluation of current and future Extension FSQ educational programs.This will be accomplished through developing a database of evaluation tools to assess accomplishment of FSQ educational objectives and expanding staff training in evaluation methods. The project will also strengthen internal and external linkages, gather reviewed FSQ educational materials for use within Michigan, and promote Michigan developed materials. Michigan State University Extension's Children, Youth and Families (CYF) and Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) programs are the primary collaborators.
