Microbiota-based intervention for preharvest control of Campylobacter in poultry

The main goal of this application is to identify the gut microbiota in chickens and evaluate microbiota-based approaches for the control of Campylobacter. To achieve this goal, we will pursue two specific objectives:1. Identify the specific differences in the intestinal microbiota between Campylobacter-positive and Campylobacter-negative flocks.2. Design and evaluate microbiota-based interventions for mitigating Campylobacter colonization in chickens.
