Molecular Epidemiology

Objective

This project serves as the CFSAN node of the National PulseNet Surveillance System for DNA fingerprints analysis of foodborne bacterial pathogens. It provides training and technical assistance to ORA labs for PulseNet procedures and interprets PFGE data for epidemiology, trace backs, and regulatory activities. PFGE services also are provided within CFSAN via this project.
