PATHOGENIC MECHANISMS OF CAMPYLOBACTER-INDUCED SHEEP ABORTION: ROLE OF THE MAJOR OUTER MEMBRANE PROTEIN IN TRANSLOCATION OF CAMPYLOBACTER JEJUNI ACROSS THE INTESTINAL EPITHELIUM

Objective

Our long-term goal is to develop practical and effective measures to control Campylobacter-associated abortion in sheep flocks. The objective of this application is to determine the specific role of the major outer membrane protein (MOMP) of Campylobacter in translocation of the intestinal epithelium to blood circulation.
