Objective

1. Improve transformation and regeneration methods for soybean and sunflower. 2. Develop molecular marker analysis methods for marker assisted selection in soybean breeding. 3. Evaluate the effects of transgenes in seed, feed and food from transgenic crops. 4. Produce educational and outreach resources on agricultural biotechnology. 5. Continue research on alfalfa stem histology, lignification and insect resistance.
