Food safety must be addressed from farm to table. Currently HACCP model programs are being developed for many segments of the food industry. The SQF 2000 program is an international program that integrates HACCP. Producers familiar with HACCP will be able to incorporate SQF 2000. This project proposes to train dairy, vegetable and meat/poultry producers and assist them to implement SQF 2000 to ensure a safer food supply. These trained producers as well as trained Extension Specialists will serve as a core to disseminate food safety training.
