The Agroecology Summer Intensive is an undergraduate 10-week residential curriculum in academic and experiential learning at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College. It comprises four courses (14 credits) in Sustainable Agriculture: soils, vegetable crops, agroecology and small farm management/produce marketing that count towards the school's Agroecology Minor. A Certificate Program is available for persons not seeking academic credit. Internships are available at the Merry Lea Sustainable Farm.
The Farm's "mission is to promote agroecology and sustainable food systems by providing a diversity of experiential learning opportunities for NC State and the broader community."

The Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture Program supports graduate student research into "agriculture, food systems and their interactions with the environment and society."
"The Agroecology program ... combines student-centered research, education, and community engagement in various projects to address locally relevant issues that affect agroecosystems in South Texas, including in sustainable agriculture, community supported agriculture, urban forestry, and sustainable food systems."
The undergraduate certificate is offered by the Department of Environmental Studies in alliance with the Miami-Dade College, Archbold Biological Station's MacArthur Agro-Ecology Research Center (MAERC), and USDA's Agricultural Research Service. The FIU Organic Garden is maintained by the Agroecology Program and the Organic Gardening Club.

Students in this program "gain an understanding of sustainable agricultural systems and obtain skills in analyzing ag systems from a multi-disciplinary and integreated approach." The minor is open to all students.
The Agroecology Minor requires four courses in the Agroecology Summer Intensive program plus two additional courses.
The Agroecology Program offers a Master's degree with two tracks: 1) The Public Practice Track trains project developers and program managers at the interfaces of agriculture and other sectors of society; and 2) The Research Track addresses the need for continued research and scholarship. Topics covered include agroecology, urban food production, agroforestry, food systems analysis, and an internship, practicum or research in sustainable agriculture.
"The Sustainable Agriculture Education (SAgE) Emphasis, Associates of Arts (A.A.) or Associates of Science (A.S.) degree integrates the study of food production methods and food systems models for sustainable bioregions. " Topics covered include agroecology, ecological urban food production, agroforestry, food systems analysis, food culture and politics, a seminar in bioregional food systems careers, and an internship, practicum or research in sustainable agriculture.
The Ecological Food and Farming Systems (EFFS) graduate specialization (M.S. or Ph.D.) "fosters understanding of interdisciplinary concepts critical to sustainable agriculture and food systems."
In addition, M.Sc. and Ph.D. Crop Science graduate programs include coursework and research with individual faculty whose programs emphasize agroecology, integrated pest management, urban agriculture, and sustainable landscapes. Minors in Crop Science can focus in same subject areas represented in undergraduate concentrations.
University students, faculty and researchers use the 30-acre organic farm and 3-acre Alan Chadwick Garden as teaching and research sites in organic horticulture and agriculture. Programs also include farm tours, gardening workshops, and programs for K-12 students.
The Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS) engages in research, education, and outreach programs that focus on "creating agriculture and food systems that sustain both human communities and the environments in which they live." CASFS manages a 30-acre organic farm and the 3-acre Alan Chadwick Garden. Programs also include undergraduate internships, on-farm research, a six-month on-farm apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture, farm tours, gardening workshops, and programs for K-12 students.
"Fulton Farm is an environmental educational facility and working produce farm." Located on the Fulton Center for Sustainability Studies, the farm is USDA Certified Organic and produces crops for the campus and the community. The farm is available to students for coursework, internships, workstudy and volunteer opportunities. Courses offered include agroecology and permaculture. Fulton Farm hosts an 80-share CSA program and provides workshops, demonstrations, classes and other events for community.
Students can explore organic and sustainable agriculture, agroecology and environmental sciences at the 25-acre Evergreen State College's Organic Farm. The Organic Farm's Sustainable Agriculture Lab is a hands-on training facility. The farm includes a food-grade laboratory, the student-designed and built Organic Farmhouse, and the student-run Demeter's permaculture demonstration site and Community Gardens. A Community Supported Agriculture program and community-based activities also are available.
"Hampshire's interdisciplinary Environmental Studies and Sustainability Program (ESSP) is a multidisciplinary program through which students develop an interdisciplinary, project-based course of study. The program includes research and courses in agroecology, environmental science; ecology; sustainable and organic agriculture; conservation; technology and design; and sustainable communities."
