"Busby Farm serves Lincoln University Cooperative Research (LUCR) by demonstrating and researching organic, integrated and sustainable ways to farm." It is one of the largest organic research farms in the United States.
Research at the North Alabama Horticulture Research Center is focused on organic production of tomatoes, peppers and sweet potatoes in organic systems. The Center is one of two organic agriculture research units in the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station system that has certified organic research plots and focuses on applied research to support small-scale organic farmers.

Dilmun Hill is "a student-run organic research farm that has been practicing sustainable agriculture on Cornell University's campus for more than two decades." The farm offers students with "opportunities for experiential learning, group collaboration and research." Students operate campus farm stands and supply produce to the campus dining services.

The Cabrillo College Horticulture Organic Farm provides hands-on training and theory in Best Management Practices, including small- or large-scale organic farming and even conventional farming.
The 85-acre farm is used "for organic, sustainable crop production, student experiential learning opportunities and organic, sustainable agricultural practice research." Organic Farming Workshops are held February through June. Offers Organic Farming Techniques course (AGS 104B).
The University of Georgia farmland includes more than six acres of certified organic production area with field plots and a greenhouse at the Durham Horticulture Farm in Watkinsville, and provides students in the Certificate Program in Organic Agriculture with hands-on learning opportunities.
The Farm is an educational laboratory for students in the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) program and "serves as a model of sustainable agriculture." Experiential learning opportunities are offered in livestock, organic field and forage crops, and organic horticultural production, as well as value-added processing and marketing. The College's Agriculture and Natural Resources (B.S.) degree includes courses in sustainable agricultural practices, and bees and beekeeping.
