The Program was founded on the lifework of farmer and writer Wendell Berry, in collaboration with The Berry Center of New Castle, Kentucky. This interdisciplinary, experiential-learning oriented undergraduate degree includes coursework in agroecology, sustainable agriculture, cultural and historical perspectives on agrarianism, organic crop production, food system planning and leadership, agricultural entomology, and soil ecology.
