American Humane Association.

Gives information about the American Humane certification program for animal production facilities.

Animal Welfare Approved.

AWA audits, certifies and supports independent family farmers raising their animals according to the highest animal welfare standards, outdoors on pasture or range. AWA is a program of A Greener World. 

Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network.

The Certified Wildlife Friendly® and Predator Friendly® Production Standards for North America recognize wildlife stewardship on farm and ranch lands. Participating producers employ a mix of proactive practices and careful observation, and adapt their management in response to changing conditions to allow wildlife and livestock to coexist.

Humane Farm Animal Care

Non-profit group provides inspection, certification and labeling program for meat, poultry, egg and dairy products from animals raised to humane care standards.

This nonprofit organization operates a third-party certification program for sustainably produced food. Certified ranchers and farmers must also ensure the health and humane treatment of animals.

New York State Cattle Health Assurance Program.

The NYSCHAP, a sponsored program of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, emphasizes guidelines for the proper care and handling of cattle.

Textile Exchange.

The RWS is an independent, voluntary standard for farms raising sheep for wool. The certification program address animal welfare and land management practices.
