ACCELERATING THE DEVELOPMENT OF FHB-RESISTANT SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT VARIETIES

Project Title 1: Accelerating the Development of FHB-Resistant Soft Red Winter Wheat Varieties. To release high yielding, scab resistant SRW wheat varieties that are adapted to KY and the southern corn belt. Project Title 2: Mapping Fusarium Head Blight Resistance in Truman Wheat. Approximately 250 recombinant inbred lines (RIL) from the cross Truman/MO 94-317 have been planted in the scab nursery near Lexington, KY and at locations in MO, IN, and OH.
