Objective

<p>Provide new insight into the molecular basis for the spread of drug resistance in pathogenic bacteria and determine if antibiotic-resistant environmental C. perfringens strains are capable of acting as reservoirs for antibiotic resistance genes for human-restricted antibiotics, which are not used in animals at all.</p>
