The objective of this project is to develop a point of care diagnostic platformbased on surface enhanced Raman scatteringand deep learning algorithmsfor rapid Bovine Respiratory Disease Complex (BRDC) virus and bacteria detections. The proposed diagnostic platform is cost-effective, rapid, accurate and has the capability for multiplexing, and can detect all the major viral pathogens associated with BRDC. The proposal will target the following specific aims:Aim#1: To determine the optimal detection strategy for all BRDC related viruses.Aim#2: To determine the optimal detection strategy for multi-viral infections.Aim#3: To determine an optimal strategy for the detection of BRDC virus-bacteria co-infections.
