Impact of milk hauling and receiving on microbial content in raw milk

Objective

(1) Investigate the impact of leaving (or driving) empty raw milk trucks for multiple hours between routes.
(2) Measure if bacteria are adhering to surfaces within trucks, transfer pumps, and receivinghoses. And if so, determine the bacterial composition of these deposits.
(3) If current milk hauling processes lead to contamination, test and recommend cleaning andoperating procedures to minimize the contamination.
