Trace Element Research--Tableware

Objective

The nature and magnitude of toxic element contamination of food from tableware will be ascertained. Using agency priorities, analytical methods for toxic elements contaminating food from tableware will be developed. Procedures for assessment of the quality of FDA laboratory results for analysis of Pb and Cd leached from tableware will be improved.
