FASTRACK FARMING: A TRAINING PROGRAM FOR SOCIALLY DISADVANTAGED AND MILITARY VETERAN BEGINNING FARMERS DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC

Objective 1: BFs will be trained to operate successfully under the challenges originating from COVID-19.Objective 2: Train and facilitate BFs to obtain land and financing to start farming.Objective 3: Train and mentor BFs to make key farming decisions, to learn agricultural production methods, and food safety that will enable them to address local markets.Objective 4: Train BFs to become local marketing entrepreneurs.Objective 5: Train BFs in obtaining access to capital and farm business management through record-keeping, financial, and risk management (including legal issues of farming in the United States).Objective 6: Train BFs on rehabilitation, AgrAbility, and farm safety.
