The Woodlands Wisdom project will implement a holistic, culturally- responsive, education program that will reduce food safety risk and related illness on the eleven Woodlands Indian Reservations, through the development of a professional educational program in food safety. The first year objective is to jointly develop a holistic food safety and quality curriculum that will reflect the mission statement. The curriculum will include a food quality and safety course for inclusion into the Woodlands Wisdom food and nutrition curriculum leading to an A.S. or A.A.S. degree. In addition,a food quality and safety short course will be developed.
